Requirements Of Commercial Medical Escort Patients
Airlines require patients to meet specific medical and safety criteria before travel can be approved. In most cases, patients must be able to sit upright using their own strength during take-off and landing, as they cannot be strapped into a seated position.
Due to in-flight operational limitations, airlines are only able to permit a limited level of medical care during the journey. This typically includes basic monitoring and restricted use of medical oxygen where required, in accordance with airline regulations.
